Originally this 1910 Muskoka classic boasted a giant lakeside covered porch which was the main feature that sold the current owners to buy this one of a kind structure. Most would have torn down this muskoka landmark but potential was seen in the cottage's old bones. The renovation updated all of the home's systems from geothermal heat to home automation. The dark interior was updated with a massive timberframe. A structure which was set in through a new hole in the roof which was to be a future skylight. The MCC shop custom made all the flooring, custom doors, cabinets and millwork in the home. This is a very special project where we could showcase our company's skills from framing to millwork to landscaping.

Current Projects
The Muskoka Custom Carpentry shop began as a small cabinet shop to supply kitchens and vanities for our summer home projects. As time went on and the projects became larger and more diverse so did our shop.
We decided to start making our own prefinished reclaimed flooring and then prefinished trim and wall treatments. Sticking to our "finish it in the shop not on site" philosophy proved a better product could be achieved by doing as much of the interior at the shop as possible. Now we make, prefinish and prehang our own interior and exterior custom doors too. We also provide a complete interior design/build service for other contractors in the Muskoka region. If you want something unique MCC is a good place to start!
